All versions of Windows, up until a year ago or so, came equipped with a utility named ‘wmic’. This tool is used in helping to craft the registration code. But a number of Windows users, who purchased newer Windows computers, reported registration errors. These errors were caused by the missing 'wmic' utility.
So I rewrote the routine to use the more modern tool named ‘PowerShell', if it’s installed, otherwise it checks and uses ‘wmic”.
Hopefully, this fixes the registration errors. Or at least gets us closer!
